Well, I prefer southern Kentucky, but I also love the Lousiville and Lexington area if you like a larger city. The Land Between the Lakes is also very nice but I have never lived there. I prefer to live in the southcentral (Bowling Green area) of Kentucky myself, but I am sure others have different opinions. What are you looking for in the place you move to?

This lady makes wonderful sense. She has hit the nail on the head.

Some Kentuckians will tell you that they absolutely love life at the end of that 3 mile gravel road back up that holl'r in SE KY. While others will love the cities with their operas and ballets. Most Kentuckians prefer somewhere in between.

Good one, Dixie. Like I just said in another thread. There are 120 counties in Kentucky. There should be something in some of them that you want or would like.

I like to hunt and go for walks and just enjoy the outdoors. I am from NY but live in Tehachapi, California and what a shocker, I was brought up on a lake and enjoy everything green. Now I take care of, once and a while we ride our horse, he's arabian and he's a nice boy. We are lookin for a place to move to that allows horses and that we can enjoy the outdoors together. It's nice talking to people who live there and know what's going on.

Kentucky sounds just right for you - plenty of green space for horses! Will you be working in a specific line of work? Some areas of the state are better for different lines of work ...

I was wondering what kind of work is around there, I know my wife won't have a problem, she's an Accountant. Also I like taverns and a good lunch.
