I drove around Kingsport yesterday trying to capture some of the wonderful color display we've had this week, the latest in the year I've ever seen it like this. The photos here represent several different subdivisions & neighborhoods.

view from Dobyns-Bennett High School parking lot:

Afton Street in Hiara Heights:

Yadkin Street in historic White City neighborhood:

Catawba Street in Fairacres:

Holston River as seen from bridge on Carters Valley Rd., just outside of town:

Gorgeous! You captured the color peak, which was about a month later than normal this year. But when it came, it was beautiful!

Awesome photos, as always! Thanks for posting!

Hard to believe that the color got that nice in Kingsport. Here in Bristol, the colors never really came... most leaves turned brown and fell off. Now, there are hardly any leaves on the trees- or brown leaves still clinging... just some of the late changing maples are showing some nice color and the pears. Only green leaves remaining are on the Elms and Willows and some of the Oaks.

Beautiful pictures. I am like a poster above..I need to spread around more rep points before I can give you one. I gave you a rep on another thread this morning. Catawba Street in Fairacres brings back memories for me. The street looks allot like East Sevier Ave near Eastman where I lived back in 1963.

Have a Happy New Year!
