I'm in the process of moving to knoxville myself and got outbid on a similar property on Quincy. Creeksitter described the E. Springdale area perfectly. If you are interested in public transit check out the KAT maps. Broadway is a nicer thoroughfare than Central which doesn't have many amenities. Being closer to the hospital would probably add value to your property as well. You will find that there are plenty of properties in that price range and that area that are probably nicer than this one. This is the best website I've found to search for homes for sale.

I live in the Sterchi/Fountain City area and it is very quiet.

That crime map is hardly accurate...It says there hasn't been any crimes reported in the past week...Idk why but its missing alot of crime reports...Like this past week alone i know theres been atleast 2-3 shootings,one murder and atleast 5-6 robberies at drug stores,a Walmart and a few motels...I think that crime report def needs an updating before you take it seriously....Just saying
