Knox County law says that you can have one to five cats and dogs on less than an acre. It is six to 10 on 1.5 to 2.5 acres. It goes up from there.

Hahaha,

This law is obviously not enforced. A street that we used to live on had two "cat people" with at least 20 each. It was a disaster sometimes and everyone complained but nothing ever happened. I'm just glad we didn't live close enough for the cats to ever come to our house.

Oh, I know it isn't enforced. This is Tennessee and what I like about it.

Of course it isn't enforced. Our Knox County officials are too busy eating lobsters at Regas when they aren't out of town on a cruise

If you get outside of Knox County itself (Anderson, etc.) you might find there's no law at all. I know people (hunters) who own over 50 dogs up here in NETN.
