Default surrounding areas of Knoxville

What about areas 20-30 miles outside of Knoxville? I guess west of the city, like Crossville, Cookeville etc? I'm looking at a move from Maryland, near DC, hopefully in the next 5 yrs. I don't have anything narrowed down and it doesn't have to be Cookeville because that seems to be getting popular too, but surrounding areas.

It just shows that whoever said, "you can't go home again" was right.

Cookeville and Crossville are nice areas, but they're waaayyyy beyond 20-30 miles west of Knoxville. If you want to live in the Knoxville area, you'll probably want to avoid anything up on the Plateau.

But check out Kingston which is 20 or so miles west of Knoxville. It's a nice little town right on I-40 and also on a big huge lake.

A crawlspace is really just a short basement with a dirt floor.
