If you're worth more than what you're being paid now, someone will give it to you. Go find them. If you can't, then your time and skills (or lack thereof) aren't worth more.
In your attempt to belittle Davie, you completely misconstrued the nature of the complaint. Under NV law, Davie "deserves" $8.25 at a minimum if he is in a position that does not provide benefits. The issue at hand is whether state law allows an employer to pay the lower $7.25 to employees who are not currently eligible to receive benefits, but will receive them in six months.

In your haste to criticize Davie, all you did was display your own ignorance of the issue being discussed.

I read, from his post, he was asking if, by law, he was deserving of the minimum wage.

Why do people have to be so harsh on others, especially concerning employment/wages at this most difficult time?

Some people get their self-worth from the most petty of places.

I'd like to know what the law says. Is it enough to offer benefits even though some don't qualify,
to be able to pay a lower minimum wage?

Thumbs up Go for your rights

Contact the EEOC and file a complaint. Ask your employer for a written policy and forward that along with your complaint.

I don't think this will help his cause and probably make it worse. Employers wouldn't be doing something illegal and know the law.

How would this in any way imaginable be an EEO complaint?

Wow, the internet is just full of people up in their ivory towers. I'm sure you would say the same face to face right? In any case, nobody really gets paid what they deserve. Only what they negotiate. Davie or anyone for that matter deserves a reasonable wage for the simple fact that it's the right thing to do. In this day and age we are still paying people well below what is needed to maintain basic costs of living. Inflation has soared past the minimum wage and we wonder why so many people suddenly snap and go on murdering sprees or develop stress related illnesses.
