The first time I went to Vegas I stayed at the San Remo.

I do like the new dealers though.

Anyone else remember playing nickel blackjack at the Las Vegas Club? Or going to the movies at either Charleston Plaza or the ORIGINAL Red Rock Theatre? Or lunch at either Hamburger Hollow or Bumbleberrys?

I wish I had taken Bob Stupak up on his many, many offers at Vegas World. My plan was always to go with a friend, and we would take the "free money" and put it simultaneously on pass and don't pass at the craps table. Once we "won" the real chips, we could split it later. I never thought to check in under a dozen aliases like these guys did:

I miss Vacation Village (though I'm not sure if that was the name) it was a little casino south of mandalay bay when you could spin a wheel to try to win the cost of your airfare. At the very least you got a few bucks and a some match play/free play coupons, it was always our first stop in Vegas

Wow, what an amazing thread. You all have succeeded in making a person who has never lived in Las Vegas feel the same kind of nostalgia you all must feel for places that no longer eixst, and to me never did. Kudos.
