For some reason this song from Westside Story keeps running through my mind........"I feel pretty, oh so pretty, it's amazing how pretty I feel........oh so pretty, that I hardly can believe it's real........."

It is nice to know hedonism is still in vogue here. You really don't want the strip going straight.

And I think this Von guy is spending too much time in the wrong places....

Though I sent him some points anyway.
I dont spend any time in those places anymore unless the wife wants to go out danicing/drinking. The time I did go out the most was during a bachelor party or leave/return from a deployment party.

Be humble, be gracious lest ye become one of those that is no longer needed.

Loyalty is why you see older ladies still serving drinks. And yes we do have some hot cocktail waitresses. That's not the acme of achievement for beautiful women though. Women with no other marketable skills rely on beauty, a very temporary thing. You'll find out some day.
If after 20 years you haven't managed to acquire any meaningful skills beyond serving drinks, you definitely deserve to be fired. There's a reason its called an 'entry level job.'

And I agree with OP, after about a year living on the Strip, I am thoroughly unimpressed with the looks of the cocktail ladies. They're courteous, but definitely nothing special in the looks department.

You must be so superior to the women who serve cocktails in the casinos. Do you have to stop yourself from spitting on the little people, with average looks, who still do what you consider to be an "entry level job"? Perhaps you only want to cast your disdain on the older women.

I think you're reading too much into this. Firstly, I'm a male of quite average looks. Second, Cocktail Server IS an entry level job. that's not just my opinion or consideration. Its a fact.

Maybe you don't realize that I have seen the same cocktail servers working in the Bellagio for the past 15 years. They must make good money or they would not still be there. Many of them are obviously older but they give great service and we always tip them well because they welcome us by name and treat us well.

Why are you speaking in 2nd person? That strikes me as really weird for some reason. I'm not a cocktail waitress.

If you'd lived here longer than a year I might respect your opinion. You simply lack the insight to have any clue what you're talking about beyond thinking cocktail waitresses are ugly. I would not really know. Some are pretty some are not so pretty.

Why would you think Cocktail waitresses are supposed to be super hot anyhow? Some are. I've seen some good looking ones. Some are not. They don't fire them for not obtaining new skillsets. What exactly do you think it takes to be a waitress? Personality, Charm, Charisma yes looks.

I said I wasn't IMPRESSED by their looks. Did I say they were ugly? No. Are they supposed to be super hot? I dunno. I just wasn't impressed. As long as a waitress is bringing in high tips, age doesn't matter. But if the tips dry up, time for a fresher replacement.
