The fish tacos at Cheesecake Factory are three meals on one plate. They are delicious Dyn. Baja Fresh is a place that doesn't get much mention here, but they have very good food, and their fish tacos are my favorite. My real favorite are the fish tacos on the beach in Mexico, made from fish caught about twenty minutes earlier and cooked on a grill right where it was caught.

Pink Taco at Hard Rock looks good, but I'd rather be at the Pink Adobe. The Pink Adobe and Dragon Room Bar in Santa Fe, New Mexico

I'd like to see any of these restaurants open in Las Vegas.

Clarksburg.com - Restaurants

Especially this one: The West Virginia Hot Dog Blog: Clarksburg HDJ Review - D&P Restaurant

Clarksburg: Hot Dog Capital of The World.

I would like to see:

1) A really good lumber yard. I'm sick of buying wood from Arizona and shipping it over.

2) A really good vinyl record store. Record City and Zia are merely "OK." Wax Trax is run by a lunatic.

3) A mid-range restaurant supply/cookware store -- better stuff than Resco and lower prices than Williams Sonoma.

4) A real pub. No video poker. Just billiards, darts, and a long bar with a good selection of draught beer and pub food.

Agreed I was so happy when they opened. The fries are AMAZING but the rest of the food is just average at best.

I hate *$. Their coffee is over-roasted. They can't make an above average espresso - little crema, no hints of meyer lemon or butterscotch or blueberry in their espresso - just burnt beans.

I wish we had a Blue Bottle Webster St. « Blue Bottle Coffee or Intelligentsia Intelligentsia Coffee and Tea | Intelligentsia Coffee & Tea.

In the mean time, I just roast my own coffee beans. My cup currently has a Kenya Kirinyaga AA - Gakuyu-ini Factory roasted to city-plus. It has hints of ruby grapefruit and vanilla wafer aromas, with hints of grape candy & lemonade, in a bright body.

Hey, I've always wanted to get into coffee roasting -- what do you use as a roaster?

Most people start off using a used hot air popcorn popper from a thrift store for $5 or so. That's what I did. It roasts pretty fast (5-7 mins) so the resultant coffee tends to be "bright" but a whole-lot better than charbucks.

See Coffee Roasting Tutorial: The Popcorn Popper Method - YouTube for a good video on the process.

Currently, I use a Gene Cafe. It roasts more slowly than the hot air popcorn popper (about 15 mins) but I get to control the temperature ramp & coaxing different flavors from the bean. Gene Cafe Roaster - Black - Drum Roasters - Coffee Roasters (http://www.sweetmarias.com/sweetmarias/coffee-roasters/drum-roasters/genecafe.html - broken link)

Lots of people use a Behmor Behmor 1600 Roaster - Drum Roasters - Coffee Roasters
