They are clamping down on them. Every single one of these people who are arrested are now put on a database. They might soon find themselves on a no fly or gun buy list. They are only shooting themselves in the foot.

First of all I love the gun buy - shoot themselves in the foot thing!!

You know, I live in NYC and have visited Las Vegas numerous times. You really don't understand what it is like to live in the shadow of Wall Street. As rich as you may think the casinos and their whales appear, you have not witnessed obscene wealth until you see Wall Street, the Upper East Side, Central Park South and Madison Avenue. This is the kind of money that would swallow any Vegas casino without even burping. All this BLOCKS away from some of the poorest people in this country. The idea of flying on a plane or buying a gun is not even a part of their reality.

They literally have nothing to lose.

Being rich is good, so getting richer is better, right? You are amazing in your delusions... you even throw out the classic supply-sider buzzwords like "creative destruction". I had to laugh at that! I bet you could rationalize ANYTHING away with your well-rehearsed view of capitalism... and ZERO understanding of sociology, psychology, culture, basic human decency, etc.

If corporations are NOT parking assets overseas, then why are they asking for a one-time tax amnesty to repatriate those profits back to the USA? Hmmmm?

Do you really think an American holding a share of INTC in their 401k is not investing in an American company that directly draws its profits from that whole convoluted system of international trade that you spent so much time explaining? Those 200 subsidiaries directly affect the mother ship by exploiting even more people abroad. You think that's a good thing. Amazing.

These protests are growing. They are not going away. Not even a cold winter will stop them. The world is finally getting it... finally.

Now wipe off that pink moustache and WAKE UP!

Sorry, I was gone for the say, so I'm just catching up.......but....

This^

Couldn't have said it better myself.

"We're organizing in communities around New York State -- but we don't hire people to Occupy Wall Street. Then again, if you believe the laughable conspiracy theories from Glenn Beck or Rush Limbaugh, this is probably the wrong job for you anyway."

You don't have to be arrested today to be put on a database. Big Brother is watching your every move, even your posts on forums. From the posts you've made, over the years, more info is probably being added to your database every day. You like that?

There are people who, through apathy/hopelessness/despair, have been putting a gun to their head every day in this country. At least if you shoot yourself in the foot, you'll survive and make a difference!

Don't point that pistol to your right temple, point it at your foot, and embrace this movement!

Um, okay? Even if 10% of the people were getting paid to protest which I don't believe, it still changes nothing as far as the implications of the movement as a whole. Even if another 10% were there simply because they were jealous of other people's money it still changes nothing. The one and only thing that matters is that it raises the awareness of the hundreds of millions of people in this country who mistakenly support corruption so long as they can buy their brand name products and vote for politicians who can give the best speeches.

Not much happens until people realize that there is in fact a better way to be doing things. It's not healthy when a country simply accepts corruption and decline of living as "that's just how it is".
