The higher education options here are also woefully inadequate when compared to colleges and universities elsewhere. An educated populace is necessary for long term stability of the region.
Plenty of schools is in reference to the private schools that many send their kids to, instead of sending them to the not so great public schools.

Normal towns are not nicknamed Sin City. And normal towns usually have more residents, than non-residents sleeping there, in any given year.
"Normal towns" only wish they had more non-residents spending money and sleeping in their town than residents.

What gave it away? It is actually not bad living up above the strip. No crime, no HOA, no traffic. The only thing that sucks is going to the bathroom. But I have found some ways to merge my number 1s and 2s with the weather. Notice that Vegas only gets occasional sprinkles here and there.
