If anyone cares, the ban on Kobe beef imports was lifted last month, about six months after the above post was made. An article in the RJ this past week stated can now get real A5 Kobe beef at Social House inside Crystals at City Center, for a paltry $35/ounce. Also, Cut in the Palazzo was planning to have it on the menu. The Butcher Block on Rainbow is expecting to get some too.

Now if that pesky ban on Beluga caviar imports could just be lifted, then our suffering could end.

Why import what we already produce -- higher quality at that -- domestically? Sturgeon is one of the few aquaculture projects that's better than wild-caught. Doesn't get any better than Florida beluga.
