Aldi, Woodman's, and a number of regional discounters do not accept credit cards, and in most cases, offer lower prices than the large chains.

Aldi and trader Joes are owned by the same company. I didn't know that! Aldi is a great store, and they are world wide. Great place for basics.

Our sale papers came for the week today and no Winco ad! Where are they hiding them? Does anyone have a clue?

Never mind my question above. I went to their Facebook site and they state that they do not put out sale flyers and they save thousands a year by doing this. I guess it's all about saving money to them. Sure, they pass on some savings to us, but on many item's, they are the same as any other store.
So, if we want deals from Winco, we can go to their page on Facebook, thecouponproject.com and coupons.com. And Valpak. Maybe other coupon sites as well.

One more thing...I saw a commercial for Winco earlier. So much for them trying to save money with print ads. The last time I checked, a TV ad cost so much more. I think they should put out store ads like all the other stores. It would help when deciding which store to shop at each week, since we only go to one or two max.

Even Aldi has flyers, but they don't advertise on TV (not that I've seen at least).

Yes, they have the orange honey, clover honey and blackberry honey in the dispensers, fresh from the hives. Really weird that there are bee's inside there. The honey seems to take forever coming out of the dispenser, or maybe it was just that everyone got to the blackberry flavor before we did. Yeah, that's probably it. We also made some fresh peanut butter and almond butter. I love the bulk section of that store so much I want to live there.
The only thing I did not like was when we got home and found we were overcharged for 2 packages of strawberries. She rang up 2 at $1.98 and 2 at .98. They should all have been .98 each. The avocados are just 24cents each and they are very good! No stringy one's so far. Hate stringy ones.

I freaked about the bee thing and mentioned it to the cashier. We were told that there were no bees inside. They put the sign to avoid people lifting the tops.
