Went to it yesterday and had a good time many neat things to see and lots of food to sample at good prices. One thing though I know it can be a touchy subject and all of the rights to speak and etc but the Jesus people took over the streets with their signs to repent and etc. Most aggravating was the people with bull horns blasting their messages in every ones ears and the guy carrying the 12 foot wooden cross which he could barley carry. My point is it is very unfair to the venders who pay $$$ for space to have their businesses and then see this bunch drive people away as they move from street to street. It was not a few people marching but over 20 of them. Practice your religion but not on the public streets at a public event. Anyone else have this experience ???

I have not experienced that personally, but it sounds really obnoxious. The reason we have the porn-slappers on the strip was because a religious guy who used to like to tell everyone one the strip that they were going to hell took it to the courts and it was decided that free speech wins over sanity.

Thus, free speech cannot be impeded in public venues in Nevada. That includes the porn slappers, the religious nutters, and the rest of the dregs.

I've been a couple times and if the religious people were there, I didn't see them. Maybe it was because of Good Friday/Easter weekend? Anyway, I would suggest you try it again!

I have never noticed them, either.. but I did see 6 foot cross dude on the corner of Flamingo/LVB the other night with a bunch of people screaming at me that I was going to hell. I just politely thanked them for the information and kept walking..

I was there too but I was just driving by. I wonder about the megaphones. Is that legal? Haven't seen the porn slappers using them.

I can see the freedom of speech to a point.. BUT sometimes sanity has to reign free and NOT let all these people interrupt events.....

Isn't there a difference between speech and solicitation? If one can restrict soliciting, why can't both porn slappers (who are working on behalf of a business) be treated the same was as these religious nuts (who are working on behalf of a business)?
