I 100% believe you.

I also 100% believe you are quite tacky. I can tell you don't come from "old money."

Money doesn't buy class, I guess.

No I don't come from old money. I had nothing handed down to me. I built everyone I have from the ground up since I was 21. Which is certainly far more difficult to do than just having money handed down to you.

Earlier I was debating with myself if I should even bother sharing my income and profession. I kind of expected a backlash but this is even more than I thought it'd be. In retrospect I probably shouldn't have shared anything. Because people are bitter and will just hate you for no other reason than because they're less well off.

I have no idea why some people have a hard time believing 1 percenters exist. Vegas has 2 million people. You'd expect there to be tens of thousands of 1 percenters in the city. Mathematically 1 out of 100 are 1 percenters which is still a lot of people. It's also highly likely that the pool of people here are not a random sample of the Las Vegas population. A much higher percentage of low wage earners are infrequent internet users compared to higher income earners. It's not hard to accept that college graduation rates and income figures for board members here would be at least somewhat above the median.

But do I care if you or anyone believes my income figures or not? No. Whether you believe it or not does not make my income any less true. And besides.."A lion doesn't concern himself with the opinions of sheep".
I have never seen your posts before. Yes, you have convinced me you are sincere with your subsequent posts.

I'm still richer than you. Just kidding.

In a city like Las Vegas, some neighborhoods are populated entirely by millionaires. And half the other neighborhoods likely have a millionaire quietly living in plain sight. (And let's face it, a million bucks hasn't been "easy street" for a very long time. But it's still a convenient yardstick.)

I didn't participate in the poll. Income isn't particularly relevant. Only cash flow and net worth matter. The person earning $100K and spending $100,001 per year is in no better financial shape than the person earning $30K and spending $30,001. But the person who makes $40K and lives on $20K is doing far better than the person who makes $100K and lives on $99K.
Great points Scoop. One of my roommates makes $61,000 a year which is over 4 times what I make. Unlike me, she has no savings. Why you ask? She is one of those degenerate gamblers you speak of.

2. I dont care what I make, I just like no snow.
3. I make too little and its totally unfair.
4. I/we dont make enough because there are too many illegals here.

I think we have seen most of those so far, but once 4 shows up the thread gets locked.
This is also very sad. I respect anyone who works hard and becomes succesful.

My situation is quite the opposite. I am on the internet all the time since I only work 1 to 2 hours a day and do not have the money or energy to go out.

Bill
The boutiques at Crystals in Aria would almost exclusively be targeted toward the 1-2%. Unless you actually think there are many people out there spending several months salaries worth for a watch, or a handbag, or a suit.

One thing I've learned -- there's always someone smarter/richer/more talented than you are. No matter how shizzle you think you are, there's someone who can buy and sell you with their left hand. So bragging is a pointless waste of time.

PS -- Who posts pictures of a Rolex? That's ghetto. At least post a Patek Phillippe. And what's with the Chanel? Hermes Birkin is obviously where it's at.

Of course there's always someone smarter, richer, more talented. None of my posts were meant to brag. I was just participating in the discussion of the thread of which now I regret sharing.

I'm currently near the bottom among 1%ers so there's almost an entire percentage above me. I know there are people much richer and successful than I am. I just do the best I can.

As most of us do.

But suggesting that people "are bitter and will hate you because they're less well off" is just silly. One thing we do not lack at all in this country is hero-worship of the wealthy. One other thing we do not lack in this country is feigned indignance by the wealthy.

And, c'mon, you don't post your recent purchases unless you meant to brag.
