There are all sorts of possibilities and situations as to why people move after 55, and most all are valid to that person.

And why not move at 80 if it would make you happy? Maybe you will get 10 more good years, and really enjoy them, too, if you move to another local. Not moving, staying still because you are older is....well, old fart thinking.
How dare you make presumptions like that about me you pompous a**? You've really shown your true colors. What a fool you must be. You don't know anything about me. I was obviously playing devil's advocate to see what kind of reponses would come out of it. My next post was going to say that I know a thing or two about research and marketing, and what I did was post the question more in a form that would get people to look deeper and come up with more thoughtful answers. Except for your tirade and obvious prejudice against people of a certain age, it worked. Obviously you don't think experience is worth anything. Take a good look at JJameson922's intelligent answer. That's what I wanted to hear, not your stupid presumptuous remarks.

You know, it is better always to not dignify an unnecessary temper tantrum with a remark.

As a mid sixtys single...I moved to Anthem from Southern California a little over a year ago.....I chose a smaller development for 55+ people,,,,I have my own individual home with "Rock" landscaping (NO maintaniance..thank-you) I was in a housing tract with lots of school aged kids in Ca....here there is peace....As the tract is smaller (1800 homes) we have a very active singles group.....I am still working...only 1 more year to go....and I am out 2-3 times a week....there are day trips from here....a state of the art gym and a pool and jacuzzi....you can be as active/inactive as you want.....I am enjoying it....

I have to say.... you did throw the first punch. Buzz was completely within his rights to defend himself. Although, if you were both in my class I would have to give you both a detention

Yep. I've thought of that too. I'm getting divorced and NY is home. Trouble is I don't want to put up with the cold, traffic, parking, expensive housing and proximity to family so I picked Phoenix and Las Vegas. I went to Phoenix and it bored me so Las Vegas might be it. Family may be like a rescue net that may not be there when you need it. I don't want my family begrudgingly caring for me.
