Your car is probably in a stash lot warehouse in the Long Beach area waiting on the freight broker. Venezuela, Ukraine, Vietnam, Nigeria are the main destinations for stolen luxury vehicles.

Forget the local BMW, I'd be on the phone with BMW Corporate.

Thank you all for your support and suggestions.

Depending on how this all resolves I plan to make a consumer alert so that everyone knows what becomes of my situation.

I was finally able to get in touch with the customer service director of BMW of Las Vegas.

***VERY IMPORTANT CONSUMER ALERT***
In short, they are denying any responsibility and WILL NOT pay for your car or help replace your car if any car is stolen under their care -- this is per the service agreement that you signed which essentially waives your right to any recourse and says they are not liable for any damages or stolen vehicles.

I want to make sure everyone knows this policy and is aware so that you can protect yourself next time you trust your vehicle to this dealership for care.

Now the issue is with insurance. Keep in mind if you DO NOT have comprehensive insurance you are out of luck. BMW of Las Vegas has the specific policy that you you signed when you drop off the car that relinquishes them from any liability due to stolen vehicles.

So lets say hypothetically you do have insurance, you may not want to make a claim on your insurance despite their claim that it will not affect your rates --- think about it -- it is still consider a loss and a payment on your account. If you constantly have stolen vehicle claims -- you don't they will cancel your insurance? My research tells me that it is best to not go through one's own personal insurance for this reason.

In terms of BMW Assist -- theoretically this car could have been tracked from the moment it was missing however due to delays in the dealership reporting the theft and delays from my local police department the activation of this stolen car feature tracking is still not enabled. This incident occurred on the evening of Monday Oct 10, 2016 --- time is not on our side...

If there are any questions, please do not hesitate to ask. I want to make sure everyone is aware of the policies of this dealership as well as the policies of most all repair shops.

I have sent two messages to BMW corporate and called BMW corporate to file a complaint -- They in so many ways said all they can do at this point is send out an email to the local dealership to advise them to contact me.

Well the Dealership is certainly entitled to their opinion... That being said, I suspect that even with disclaimers in place, a court of law might see things differently. There is a premise that a dealership will take reasonable care with your vehicle. If they did not, then you might have a claim. Contact an attorney.

Additionally, bad press for this dealership via the internet, facebook etc..may change their tune. I would recommend you look up a case where a guy took a factory collectors edition Camaro ZL1 to a dealer and one of their employees stole and wrecked the vehicle over the weekend. The Dealer at first refused to pay but ultimately the customer got a replacement vehicle from them.

Wrecked Camaro's owner to get new car after viral tale

Although it is expensive, if you have a highly desirable vehicle and/or one that is rare or has a lot of options consider adding lowjack. There is some savings on insurance. I can personally attest to how quickly a vehicle can be located using lowjack. Although not a perfect system, it is one that works well. There are many lowjack equipped Police Cars and also Police Helicopters that can find vehicles once the system is activated.

Of course once the vehicle is placed in a metal shipping container your chances of getting it back are pretty slim.

Is this a concern of yours? Have you had many stolen vehicles?

I agree. They can't just write themselves out of any and all responsibility to take care of the car.

No I have never had any comprehensive claim ever or any collision claim or any other claim for that matter.

Yes my car had every single factory option available including the BMW factory Performance Edition package. I am considering building my own makeshift GPS tracker with an old iPhone with Find My Friends. Anyone have experience with this?

As I have mentioned before, I am sharing my experience because this is a cause greater than myself... it is not merely about finding my car or getting a replacement. This is something that I want to alert fellow BMW lovers and other consumers that you may potentially put your valued cars at risk without recourse when you entrust your car to dealerships such as BMW Las Vegas or other like dealerships. An unfortunate thing happened to me, I want to make something positive to come out of my misfortune and hopefully enact change so that others do not have to go through this nightmare.
