Maricopa County makes Orange County seem like a cakewalk

Still I'd rather not be in jail though
What is really sad is the poor guy is not even exaggerating. Joe Arpaio is a fascist piece of sh@t. Read these, and it will really make you cry

It seems to me that it is the eastern areas of Las Vegas that seem to have more of a problem with crime and violence along with parts of lower North Las Vegas.

When I visit Vegas I wil be staying at the Fremont Street experience and will be checking out Summerlin, Aliante, Centennial Hills areas along with Henderson as well probably
Totally avoid the already mentioned alphabet streets and number strees, along with the president streets. East Vegas isnt all too bad, but it really depends on what part of East Vegas you're in. Some neighborhoods are fine, others are not.

Also, avoid crack alley (maryland parkway west to paradise, from sunset north to sahara), naked city, and north las vegas from east bonanza to craig.

And sorry to bust your bubble, but the Fremont Street Experience area isnt all that great either. If you stay on the Experience, you should be fine. I live in this area. You definitely dont want to be caught on Freemont street from 3rd east to Eastern after dark. The neighborhoods around here arent too bad, the police are around here 24/7.

Yeah Maricopa County definitely needs to get rid of this guy. If all this has been going on, why the hell hasn't he been voted out of office yet?

I don't think prisoners deserve to be treated well but this is ridiculous whats going on there. Why hasn't this been stopped?

There will never be an accurate census as to how many people have left Phoenix for Las Vegas because of the Arpaio factor. I was one of them.
3 years in (vacation in Arizona, leave on probation) Phoenix. It's the over-vigilant police force that was the major factor in my decision to relocate.

So, if we really knew of the people who have forsaken Phoenix, for similar reasons like myself, Las Vegas owes a round of applause to Arpaio, and some donations?

I miss Phoenix in many respects, but constantly looking over my shoulder while driving, keeping my eyes riveted to the speedometer, fear of ending up for even one night in a tent city, was too much stress for me.

I agree with you 100%. Now they even have photo radar all over the interstates too. They have also made the DUI penalties the toughest in the nation now. It is definitely a police state.

The damn Republicans keep voting him in. Since Arizona is a right-winger state, there is no end in sight for him. He has already been in office for 18 years now.

I'll keep that in mind. Im going to be taking the bus around the city as I am STILL not old enough to rent a car (ill be 21 this december) And I know the city bus station on casino center near 515 is only a 6 minute walk according to google maps.

Check around town for car rentals. When I first moved here I was 20, I rented a car from one of the places here. But for the life of me i can not remember what company it was.
