Captain's Log
Star date: 2008.08.31
Destination: Las Vegas Hilton

Captain Kirk: Spock?....Where....have...all the tourists....gone????

Mr. Spock: Data tells me that there is a negative economy going on, similar to one that exsited in 1929...also known as a depression.

Scotty: Aye, captain...you are an old captain (or simply an olecapt). You remember the depression, don't you?

Bones: Jim....what are we going to do???? This hotel we're stuck in doesn't even have a casino to bail us out!

Lt Ahura: Well, I know what I'll do...I'll just shorten my last name and head up to Parhump for work

About 3-4 years ago, billionaire golfer Tiger Woods, would often spend time in LV, as local Butch Harmon was his coach. One night, while gambling at the Bellagio, the table was served drinks, and Tiger dug into his wallet for a five dollar bill to tip the server. His wife promptly grabbed the five dollar tip from the server's tray and instructed Tiger he had tipped when the last round was served. The very next week at a tournament in Florida, Tiger came down with a mysterious case of food poisoning on Saturday, and nearly missed a multi-million dollar payday on Sunday. Coincidence, I doubt it.

How did you hear about that story Sheriff?

And I mean really, with all the money that Tiger Woods makes...only a five dollar tip? And the wife pulled it off the server's tray?

Geez, I've often heard stories of celebrities who are lousy tippers...

some were good some were bad.....When I used to drive a cab, I had a ton of celeb's in the car.....My favorite was Myron Cohen.....When he was alone, he tipped BIG......a dime.....when he was with his wife he only tipped a nickle....and this was only 30 yrs ago lol......Redd Foxx was the worst....would take a cab from the strip to his house.....out around Eastern if I remember right.....you were lucky if he had enough for the fare....NEVER a tip.....

Sammy Davis, was $20 no matter where he was going...the fare usually ran 4-5 dollars....

Redd Foxx's house is now i believe a realtor's office on Eastern near Russell or Tropicana, where those long single story houses are on big lots...
