There might be a very few people who die later from an incident that then becomes murder. But 207? No way.
Unreal, you post an article, quote it, then denounce it. Time for beddy bye.

It would be nice if the local news went out some night and announced this stat while filming people out walking around, having a good time. Because that's what people should be doing. But the news has no interest in doing this, no matter what the stats say, its always better to sow fear.

I have no idea why people still watch the news. It's all garbage.

Can't read either? There is no 207 in the article. The pending mention is..

************************************
The homicide total could later increase as a cause and manner of death is determined for pending cases, including the six victims killed last month in a fire at the Alpine Motel Apartments, the deadliest residential fire in the city’s history. Metro’s homicide section has opened a criminal investigation into the fire.
************************************

207 is not present in the article.

As of New Year's Day, 144 homicides had been investigated in Clark County, although the total could later increase as the Clark County coroner's office determines a cause and manner of death for its 207 pending cases.

Good shot. Missed that one. It is not in the article (searched it on "207"). But it is there in a side note.

However neither the Coroner or the County web sites have any such pending list. So there may be such a list but if there is it is likely to be a bureaucratic one dating back decades. And it is not a public record.

And the same point is still true. May move a few but no large number. And it will take something like a decision to declare Alpine as a homicide to get past 3 or 4.

Sure - cite your source where the 207 pending cases can be found.

Sounds to me like a bureaucratic list of the unresolved that may well date back to WW2. But prove me wrong.

I await your cite.
