Hi, I am considering a move to Vegas and I was wondering if anyone has any thoughts or opinions on Performing Arts High Schools. My daughter wants to go to one for High School and I was hoping to get some feedback.
Thanks

LVA is the only one out here, I think. It's supposed to have excellent fine arts programs.

My sister graduated from LVA. It's a great school and gave her a great jumping off point to her career as an adult.
She is now co-founder and performer for a theater company in Portland, OR.
She still has great memories of the school and still speaks to some of those friends. She graduated in 1996. We used to have a ball going to all of her performances, everyone there was so talented!

No a public school. But it may require an auditionable skill to get it.

yep. there is no tuition for the school and although it is not considered "private" it is somewhat exclusive.
The children must audition to be accepted.

Olecapt--
That was excellent information, thank you.
I can't seem to find any "audition" information. Being that we will have a year before she starts I'd like to get her focusing on the audition process now because I know how much she'd like to go there.
Thanks
