I need to see a doctor for a localized infection and I don't have insurance. Can anybody recommend a clinic that would be fair and willing to take me?

Is there any County Health Departments that I could go to for this?? If so do you know where they are. Thanks.

If you know exactly what you have, you can just research the treatment and order what you need online. Much cheaper.

There are a lot of Canadian web sites that cater to this.

You mean I can order prescription drugs online? Is that safe? I do know exactly what I have and what I could take to for it. Have you ever done this before?

You can go to CVS or Walgreens. They have a minute clinic, and can give you a price before they see you. Very fast, took my daughter there on a Sunday for Strep throat a couple of months ago. Was in and out in about 20 minutes, and cost $70.00. Then got the prescription at Walmart for $4.00. A lot cheaper then going to a Quickcare.

Definitely try the drugstores clinics that Bugbully suggested. They are the best deal when you do not have insurance.

That is what I ended up doing (Minute Clinic at CVS). I was in and out in 20 mins, and filled my prescription at Target for 4.00 in less than an hour. Total cost 74.00 and never had to sit and wait at a doctors office!. What a genius idea!!!! I had no idea these existed. Thanks guys.

We order stuff from this site all the time. There are others too. It's especially good for those things you've always taken and will always have to take, but don't want to spend time and money going to a doctor for a prescription when you aren't sick. We used to go to Mexico but haven't been there in a while. Have bought stuff in Canada too. Just be sure you know the correct meds.

Inhouse Pharmacy - Supplying a wide range of Prescription and Non-Prescription Medications Online including Prozac, Paxil, Zoloft, Ventolin, Singulair

Some of the things we order on line come from England, Canada, or New Zealand. No big deal. Those aren't third world countries. Nothing wrong with them, the drug companies just don't like the competition.

Here is a Canadian one, and info from the State on Canadian pharmacies.

Online Canadian Pharmacy :: Canada Pharmacy, Drugs From Canada, Canadian Online Pharmacy, Drugs Canada

Canadian Drug Program - Approved Canadian Pharmacies (http://govcha.state.nv.us/CP-List.htm - broken link)

Also, you can't be turned down at the emergency room of UMC if you don't have insurance.

Yeah, they are great. I have had to wait at the quick cares for hours. This is soo much better. Great for people without insurance, which we are without right now. They do accept insurance also. For minor things and the weekend they are the best.
