You are 100% correct.
There is a such thing as professional high class escorts where attractive women go out as arm candy with rich men(vice versa also). Famous people, actors, musicians even regular rich people use this service all the time. Some people may feel that they look better or more successful with eye candy next to them. Probably helps with the paparazzi not catching them out and about eating alone when they are suppose to be a big time movie star. lol The events can range from dinner, show, party..etc. Usually there is an agency that handles the order of such arm candy. Probably pay by the hour and there is definitely no sex unless there a mutual attraction between the two parties.
BUT...
Davie's situation is not this case at all. Anyone advertising services on Backpage.com, which is an alternate Craigslist site, is not as described above. If you don't believe me, check it out for yourself. When some one is requesting 100-300 "roses" for 30 minutes of "fun" you should know whats up.

Again looks and being pretty isn't everything- i know some women/girls that are dimes pieces /beautiful and they also have a secret(that they don't share with others)-they have the monster aka AIDS(from sex-no drugs). Since they have this disease they think it's ok to hump as many people as they can because they don't care.

I'm a woman and noticed a TON of hookers on the strip when I was there. The place was crawling with them! We saw a ton of "transations" in the negotiation phase (one poor guy must have asked for something really freaky because she waved her hands and said NO WAY before walking away) and even saw one saying goodbye to his "date" on the strip. (A quick kiss and a "thank you very much" and trying to be sneaky in handing her money was involved.)
I'm very observant, I guess! I kept pointing them out to my friends who were oblivious
