It was killing me seeing all the people there living the life I always wanted. There where even people much younger than me who were making 3 times what I did, while I had my crappy old Ford Escort sitting out front. I ended up becoming good friends with a women there who was my age. She was a total sweetheart. I was surprised when she told me that I was more intelligent than a lot of the people there, and she could not understand why I have lived the life I did. I do not know either as it just sort of happened over the years. After I lost my job in November, true reality set in. I started to see how good I used to have it, although I did not know it at the time. I looked for similar work, and all I could find was security jobs that paid minimum wage where I would have to either stand in front of a grocery store all night, or sit in a parking lot all day in the heat/cold. That is not going to happen. Even then, who knows if those crap jobs would have hired me anyways. Now it is time for a change, and I have full faith in what degenerate gambler 43 does for a living. I am sure everyone can agree that what I am doing now is not working.
Best wishes for good fortune LVD. I am rooting for you.

Reminds me of something my mother used to say:

"S**t or get off the pot."

I love sunflowers. Last year I tried planting 'Mammoth Russian' along a wall in my backyard. They didnt get very big because I didnt give them enough water. I think I will plant a seed or two in my front yard & see what happens.

Look for a phone customer service or sales job. Try applying even though you may not have all the experience they want. Highlight any sales/customer service skills you have in your cover letter. I think a good cover letter makes a big difference. What about working with a temp agency?

Everything in my front yard gets watered every other day for 15 minutes at 5:30 and 6:30. I believe that the type of plants/flowers that I have require more sunlight than anything.

That's one of the things I love about living in Vegas. I bought a new car in March and I've never used the windshield wipers. Hell, I've been here for over two years now and I don't even own an umbrella!

Where I planted the sunflowers last year they got plenty of sun but I had to water by hand so I would forget about them. Where i'll put the seeds this time there is a drip so I wont have to worry about watering. Only thing I have to worry about is the HOA. I dont think they will bother me though.
