Yup Infection. Surgical repair on Friday - But now six to eight weeks of IV antibiotics.

And they have found a new way to make it all painful. The tape they used to cover is just paper but it is the most painful stuff to remove that I have encountered.
Dad had a slowly healing surgical wound recently.

The Doc suggested that we get Juven for him. It's a drink mix packet with amino acids in it. Building blocks of protein. Orange flavor. Two packets a day.

Somewhat expensive. $35 for 14 days but it seemed to do the trick. He started healing quickly.

Worth a try. We got it at Rite Aide but you can get it on line and most pharmacies will special order it for you.

You can also make and drink green smoothies. Helps in healing.

I find that Vicodin and whiskey helps the pain.

Get well soon.

So, you do art?

I spent many a Saturday night at Caesars Palace lounge listening to them. There was always a group of big stars in the audience.

Used to do Theatrical Photography....before I decided that eating was more important then fun.....Ckeckmates were my fav group....cause their checks never bounced.

I hope you are kidding here. I once drank and took Vicodin, and it nearly killed me. Never mix alcohol with a narcotic pain killer.

I didn't say you had to take the whole bottle of pills and drink the whole bottle of whiskey.

Each person has his own tolerance to pills and booze. I once took one Loratab and drank two Sam Adams Lites and it felt like I took a trip to Jupiter and back.

So it did work for the pain.

Yes I believe it was a pain free buzz.

I get no impact at all from narcotics. After one major surgery I had a morphine pump...supposedly so I could self medicate within limits as hard as I wanted. Hit that baby every ten minutes for over an hour...not a thing. Had the nurse check it and it was pushing enough she said I had to very, very happy...but I felt not a thing. I have the same response to oral narcotics.

On the other hand I don't feel much pain. Maybe the same mechanism...so I don't get any relief but I don't need any.

They did give me an ambien to aid sleep after the first surgery...a disaster...woke up utterly disoriented in the middle of the night... pulled a drain tube... went to the bathroom by bouncing off the adjacent walls and ended up calling my wife to come in as I was too addled to get a nurse. It was actually an experience that crossed into the psychedelic.
