Wouldn't you be able to get a better deal in Michigan on a car? You know I am right on the line, Michigan/Ohio, and it seems to me whenever I check, the prices around here are better. I was just reading on another post how reasonable car shipping is running now. I'm never sure when the time comes that our house sells whether I will be in the position of shipping my car out there and flying myself and three dogs in cargo (scarey thought to me) or making the 3 1/2 day drive so I'm always considering all options.

Remember JJ that you would be buying a car from the rustbelt as opposed to a southwestern Car....SW cars have less rust overall [even the ones fomr near the ocean]

I thought the prices for shipping a car where outrageous when I was looking into it. Around $900+. I would rather put that towards the car itself, you know? As far as deals go, MI vs. NV...I think there are more people leaving NV without their vehicles, because they need fast cash, than MI and I am hoping to find one of those people! And, for a used one, it probably is easier to find one without the salt damage. It's just a pain, either way, sifting through the scammers.

There ya' go Kimba. I was thinking of that but did not know if he still had access to some good cars. I also considered the point that was made about the better condition of non-road salt cars which was an excellent point. Someone yesterday posted on here car shipping rates around $600 and I was thinking there has to be people around Detroit hurting as badly as some in LV. Be very interesting to see what Airics has in mind.
