I've my shifts now. I'll be on duty at midnight, off at noon, with Saturday & Sundays off. At least a couple of days per week I'll be driving cab number 1303. Be sure to stay off the the sidewalks on those days.
Glad to see you are working Aqua, keep it up and most of all, be careful on the roads!

Glad you are settled back in now!!! I am still traveling back and forth. I am in MI at the moment, will be back to LV in Oct. for a visit...looking sooo forward to it! The bugs here are horrendous! It is pretty chilly today too--I miss the heat!

Hi Kimba! Yes, you do in fact, miss the heat, I know I did!

Hope you are eventually able to settle in Las Vegas permanently, I know that's what you really want to do.

Default A DEAL! Prime Rib 12oz $4.99

At the Gold Spike close to Fremont Street. Went there last night and it was very good. Generous portions. Especially for the price. Parking is free too. Starts at 4pm and ends at 11pm.

Now it wasn't QUITE as good as Lawrey's but pretty much the same prime rib dinner cost me $50.

The Spike has had a lot of renovations and looks much nicer than it did a few years ago.

The Gold Spike has always been a total dump, until now. I went there recently, and I could not believe how nicely they renovated it. Thanks for the suggestion on the prime rib, I think I will give it a try.

I really like dumpy places, dumpy, seedy bars. After they rehabbed the El Cortez I moved down the block to the Western. My kind of place. I put my pennies in one by one. It's fun, good exercise, and a good, interesting crowd of people around, as always. I love being with the lower classes, it's refreshing.

Now if they could only re-open the Ukelele bar on LV Blvd No. and Bonanza!
Oh, how I miss that place!

Sigh...I got fired again. The boss said that it was for low book again. What happenend to the two weeks that he said that he was going to give me? There are a couple of other cab companies that I can apply to. My main dilema now is my rent. I'm seriously late. My sister lent me $500 towards it, but I need to come up with $620 by Friday at 10am, or they'll start the eviction procedures on Monday. I've got $140+ in cash right now,and I get my paycheck from A Cab either late today, or anytime tomorrow. I'm just hoping that it'll be enough that I don't have to do a signature loan, or worse yet, a title loan on my truck. If I have to move out, there are a couple of places that I can go, but I'll have to ask my friend in Pahrump if she can take my dogs, if only temporarily. Even that is going to kill both me and them. They are the main reason that I've been able to live through the Year of Hell.

Long haul every chance they get, and if they're lucky, take some guys out to Pahrump. The round trip costs around $340.
