Yep, I am sitting here watching Three's Company, and messing around on the internet. Not bad for $70 a night.

The only problem with that is that I'd need my guard card, which costs $90. Seeing how I've got maybe 12 cents to my name, with a $200 title loan payment (or they take my truck) due on the 25th, and $675 plus utilities (water, sewer, trash) due by the 5th, it seems just a tad out of my reach at the moment. I've heard that Job Connect will pay for it, but you first need to get a letter of intent to hire from the company that you're looking to get on with.

I tried applying online to Home Depot, but it resets ever 15+ minutes, and you lose all of your info. After a couple of attempts, it was late, and I quit trying. It's almost as if they don't want you to apply.

Aqua,

How much is the title loan on the truck, and what is the truck worth? Does it have air conditioning? I was possibly thinking about paying off your title loan, and then taking the truck, and giving you my car. Now, I will warn you my car is an ugly old Ford Escort with a stick shift (very reliable car nonetheless), but I figure if you are going to lose the truck anyways, at least this way you would have something to drive.

The title loan is for $1,250, and my truck is worth at least $5,000+. Yes, it has AC. It's a 2k2 Ford F-150 XLT (standard cab) long bed, with a 5.4l Triton V8, with enough after marked equipment to make it big and mean. If you want to loan me the money, I'd pay you back, my word of honor. Trade you my truck for your car? No, thanks. For one thing, I don't drive stick, and that'd be an unfair trade. Thanks for the offer, if even is was in slight jest.

One of my golden rules is not to loan money, as I have been burned in the past. What I had meant was is if it was your last day to pay, and they were going to take the truck anyways, I would offer you that deal. I do have another suggestion though. You could put it for sale right now. If you can get $5,000, you can pay off all your bills, and even have some left over money to buy another vehicle with no loan on it. I am sorry if you felt my offer was in jest, I really am only trying to help is all.

That's ok, LVD. No harm, no foul. I don't want to sell my truck, and can't, since I don't have the title on it. I'll make this work...somehow.

That was an excellent suggestion LV Drunk. That's probably what I would do myself. I don't read this thread often enough I guess so I'm confused. I thought Aqua had been waiting a long time for a cash payout of something like $25K which he got sometime last summer. I remember him using it to buy the big truck and rent the apartment but I did not realize he was not employed at the time and I thought the truck was paid for. I guess he was being optimistic, instead of cautious, at the time?

It was this June that I got the money, JJ, but it was a bit under $25k. I gave some money to my sister and her husband, got my truck, and apartment on the southeast side of town. I worked for two different cab companies for a short period of time, but they didn't work out because I don't believe in long hauling. I'm sitting here with no power, no tv, no computer (I'm on my BlackBerry), and living on peanut butter sandwiches. People keep telling me to have faith, but I notice that the ones who do mostly have everything.

The most important thing is to try and learn something from this and never quit trying. I'm not one to believe in having faith. That's kind of a passive position to me where one sits around and believes something great and unexpected will happen. Do try though, to believe in yourself and do everything in your power to figure your way out of this. What you have to believe is that "you can and you will."
