I used to have my own house with a garage, 2 decent cars, etc. I then lost everything in 2004. Not too long ago in 2005, I l became homeless, and lived in the back seat of my 1987 Toyota Corolla in casino parking garages. I managed to pull myself out of it, all on my own. It is not fun, but it taught me a life lesson. Life is not fair unfortunately. Even now, I am still not doing all that great, but my life is at least livable. However, I am living way below the lifestyle I lived in the early 2000's. To show you that I am far from the ones who have everything, here is a picture of my current car. I am definitely one of the have nots....

Well, I do have some good news. I've got an interview with a Dominos Pizza on my side of town for a delivery driver post. It's tomorrow morning at 9:15am so all prayers, positive energy, and crossing of body parts of your choice is greatly appreciated. Also, my sister invited me over for some KFC.

I am very happy to hear that. Hope all goes well. That might really work out for you too since you get paid daily in tips.

I pray that I make enough in salary and tips to save my truck, plus make next month's rent in time. Does anyone here have any local experience in delivering pizza? I doubt that it pays as much as a cabbie can make, but at this point, every little bit helps. I was just perusing Craislist. There are some good deals on cars, but there's also a fair amount of crap on it.

Sigh...I put my truck up for sale on Craigslist. If anyone's wants to, go take a look. It's the 2002 Ford F-150 XLT, and I put up some pictures. As much as I hate to sell it, I hope that it goes quickly.

You should have let Las vegas drunk get it with the offer he had for you.

That beatup Ford Escort and the loan payment, No way, I would deliver pizzas on a ten speed bike before I would let him get his paws that truck.

LVD's offer was only hypothetical, Pink. Besides, I don't drive stick. If, God willing, I do sell it, I'll have enough for the payoff, a cheap car, and hopefully at least two months rent. It wouldn't help matters if I bought a cheaper to operate car, and have to live in it. That's ok for my fat arse, but what about my beloved iggies? It's one thing to give up my truck, but not them. They're one of the few reasons I've able to make it through this last year with a shread of what sanity I have in tact.

Sorry Bro, but you have it all wrong. Aqua loves his truck, and I was never trying to take advantage of him or get my "paws" on it as you are saying. I was saying as a last resort if it was the last day to pay the title loan, and he did not have the money to pay for it, I would offer him the deal of giving him my car, and paying off the truck and taking it for myself, albeit temporarily. I already know the truck is worth way more than the $1,250 title loan. I would also have been willing to let Aqua save for, and pay me back the $1,250, and I would give the truck back to him, and have him give me back my car. I am a firm believer in karma, and was never out to screw him over in any way. I just can not give an unsecured loan to someone I have never met. I felt this was really risk free for me, and it would help out Aqua is all.

It's still an interesting offer, LVD, but as I had said, I don't drive stick. Your car would just sit there, with probably me living in it, since I wouldn't have any money for rent. Has anyone taken a look at my ad on CL? I'd like an honest opinion about it, please.
