To all the people who do not live here, tragically we have lost a young police officer Wednesday night. He was only 30 years old. The really bad thing about it is he did not fit the normal police officer persona. I respect the police, but the former statement came from the news, not me. He was very compassionate, and overall a great guy. This is truly a case of "only the good die young." My heart goes out to his family, I hope the second officer pulls through....

Friends of fallen officer call him driven and compassionate - KTNV ABC,Channel 13,Las Vegas,Nevada,News,Weather,Sports,Entertainment,KTN V.com,Action News .:. (http://www.ktnv.com/global/story.asp?s=11285257 - broken link)

There are many questions surrounding the death of this young kid. No one is divulging how the accident happened and at what rate of speed the officers were driving at. It hasn't been disclosed if they were responding to a call, after having just finished one. Doug Gillespie is as tight lipped as can be.

Sounds similiar to Officer James Manor's fatal accident.

Prayers to the family and sad for all us Las Vegans, seems as if we lost another truly good guy.

Better to be tight lipped this time and get all the facts right, compared to a quick press conference last time with incorrect facts.

Prayers for all involved.

Default What are you gonna be for halloween

I will be in Vegas the last week in October which means through Halloween. Just thought I would make a thread seeing what other people are dressing up as.

I have a bunch of ideas for a costume but I think I have a pretty perfect one for the situation. I am gonna be Alan from The Hangover with the baby in the baby harness. Not my official decision but one of the top choices

Anyways what is everybody else gonna dress up as

I'm going as a foreclosed house. I will have copper pipe and cut electrical wires hanging out of me, the torso will be smashed drywall and broken windows. On the back I'm going to write "Don't forget to ask for key money".
