The only good thing.........Rio buffet has a local special from Monday thru Thursday.
They are not asking for money again, it already has been approved. It is huge too at 6.9%. Gotta luv it, huh.

What do we get for our money? Is it just an increase with no justification, or are they saying it'll be used for something specific?

Yep, the got the increase approved and it is suppose to come into effect starting July 1st. Why is it they always get it approved. Makes you wonder who they are paying off at the PUC.

Yeah, who is voting for the approval? I noticed this "warning" on our last bill~

I am pretty sure there are many companies taking advantage of the "today's economy" line and jumping on the "gotta increase the price, just to make it" bandwagon...seriously, every commercial on tv uses it, every store, every restaurant...we get it!

Greedy NV energy is just using the increase to pay their shareholders to keep them happy. At least by sept, I should be using fans only so my bill won't go too high. My latest bill was $157. But actual use was less than that. It would be nice to get a second electric company in town, maybe a third even that would actually charge the customers what they use in electricity, not give them stupid rate hikes to pad their pockets. Many of us just cannot afford more increases.

My next house, if I stay in LV is going to have solar power only so the retards at NVEnergy can then pay me.

it used to be a lot differant....we had a PUC that kicked AXX....they would ask for 15% and the PUC would give them -10%

I love the Centennial Hills library. I was able to buy eight paperback books (the entire Area 51 series, by Robert Doherty) for only $2. They're in great condition, and I couldn't have gotten a better deal at a used book store.

That's true about the good deal the library offers. I cannot believe Deseret is now charging $1 a book for most paperbacks when just a year ago they were charging 25cents. They went to 50cents and now a freakin buck. Savers charges $1.49 and up per paperback and $2 and up per hard copy.
I think i'll buy mine from the library if or when i need anymore. Right now i have a 5 year backlog.
Plus assorted one's in my give away/sell box. I don't need anymore, but I always want more. Yes, i know, im a bookaholic and i need help. lol

I was able to buy two whole bags full of National Geographics Magazines( I got 21 Mags) for only $1. My library has as a bookstore and was having a sale. That was a deal considering for a single issue is almost $10.

I'll let you know after I get that truck today, I hope. I'm down at the bank, trying to get them to release the hold on my new account. In the meantime, I'm playing with my new Blackberry Curve 8320 Sunset. My very basic old cell got wet the other day. Given everything I've been thru, I deserve to splurge a little.
