There are plenty of tourists who would get free admission....... Not including myself of course....

You missed a great meetup in there at that very Elvis show.

I'm sorry I missed that one Elle. If it was up to me, the only place we would go on holiday would be LV! About four times a year would be great!! Sadly, my wife insists on going elsewhere. I had to agree to go to Spain in November to keep her happy. I hate Benidorm..........

I've been to LV twice so far this year, it is nice to be able to drive now! Next time you are in town let me know, and we can drive up! It takes about 4 hours. Not bad at all.

We are heading to Mexico next month to relax in an all inclusive resort for a week. i am looking forward to going someplace other than LV

I've always wanted to meet someone who could drive from Phoenix to Las Vegas in 4 hours+, and not get stopped by the notorious AZ Highway Patrol!

Is the drive all that bad - we're planning on moving to PHX next month and my mom will eventually be retiring to LV in the next few years. I know flights are cheap as well.

I've done it twice now, didn't see any cops other than when I was driving around Kingman, I think it was. Really not much traffic at all!

Last time I left home about 5:30AM and was pulling up at the car rental place at the airport about 9:45 AM to pick someone up. Easy. Even with 2 chihuahuas on my lap.

I think the drive is pretty easy, a little hassel since you have to turn here, turn there, parts are 2 lane. But traffic moves pretty fast and the scenery is interesting. Amazing how green it is here and how much more brown it gets the closer you get to Vegas.

You can fly there in about 40 minutes, but I like driving because I can take what I want, (including the dogs) and I have my own transportation when I get there.

This is true, and noted. I would probably drive myself, if I was just going for pleasure. But, knowing that it's a short and inexpensive flight if there was an emergency, makes it a very good option.

It's kind of funny, I seriously just thought I would end up moving to Vegas. Life is funny sometimes. But from what I have read, I'm preaching to the choir, huh?

Can you elaborate? This surprises me.
