My i35 has it. Honestly if it didn't have such great power I would have driven this car off a cliff by now. The power is the only redeeming quality.

If I can find a wrecked 350z/g35 with a manual trans at the junkyard I'm going to snag the whole drivetrain for my cressida. Those transmissions can handle 4 digit hp and the 280ish hp the engine makes is plenty for a 2800lb cressida.

I have never heard of such a swap, and I am not sure the Nissan engine would even fit. The standard swap is the 2JZ-GTE.

I hacked the front end off and will be building a tube front end. People stick the wider 1uz v8 in them no problem.
The vq is 22 inches wide at the widest point and I have 28 inches between the shock towers which are the narrowest point in the engine bay.

2jzgte are 3,000+ for one with an auto trans. Another 1000 to put a manual behind it. It's not worth the money for that swap anymore. A 1jz with auto is most likely what I will install as they are 1100 and actually came in cressidas overseas.
Later on I'll get a 300zx manual transmission and adapt it to the jz. That would put me at the $2,000 mark for the swap which isn't bad and I could sell it for what I have in it if I needed to. This will be the second cressida I have put a 1jz in. My last one was built for 700hp.

The vq35 swap from the junkyard is significantly cheaper than both of the other options IF I can find one. Those transmissions are highly sought after and don't stick around the junkyard very long.

Fascinating. Do keep us updated on your progress. Please post pics as things come together. Inquiring minds want to know.

ha ha.
We bought 4 of them when we first moved here because we had to leave our dining room table behind. We got another table so they were just taking up space in the closet. I made them useful again.

Which is the fastest way to get to Imperial, CA from Las Vegas? And how many hours with a few bathroom stops along the way? And assuming that one is driving the speed limit.
I am asking for a friend that needs to get there for a job interview.

Blythe is all the way down by the Arizona border. That is one heck of a drive. Costs too much to fly there and back for them. Oh well, I will let them know. Thanks.
