You guys know that our buddy, English Dave and his wife missed that massacre in Tunisia by a week? They were staying at that exact resort a week before the attack. I told him that he and wifey are not allowed to go there anymore, and that we will see him on Fremont next time he's on holiday. Yikes !

Tell English Dave and wife that they cannot go anywhere where those attacks happen. Tell them to only visit Las Vegas and they should be ok.
It's going to really tick me off if something happens to them because of the cowardly terrorists.

It will always be a surprise to me that there haven't been terrorist incidents here in Las Vegas. Do they X-ray the luggage that comes into our hotels? How easy it would be to bring in a big luggage piece with explosives and set it off in a hotel room on the Strip!

If something like that happened, the damage would be incalculable!

And it could even be someone who lost their shirt in one of our casino's and wants to get even with the hotel/casino!

Yeah...... that was a close one..........we're in Greece right now, but I just booked this holiday the last day before it sold out. If I had left it overnight, and had seen it was gone, I would have booked a return to the Imperial Marhaba instead. We would have arrived last Thursday, and the day after was the massacre. Judy would have been sat on the beach outside the hotel when the guy started shooting.

You're right NLVgal, it's a lot safer on Fremont Street......... I'm going to give all the muslim countries a miss from now on. We were thinking about Morocco later this year, but I think it's best to forget it.

One of my continual big fears of foreign travel is getting caught up in a natural catastrophe!

I missed that big 8.0+ quake in Santiago, Chile, in the late 80's, by just one day!

If the debris wouldn't have killed me, the resultant heart attack would have!

And, I was in Concepcion, Chile, in 2007, and a year or so later, they got hit with an 8.6 quake!

And, in February, 1971, I missed the quake in L.A. (San Fernando Valley) by 3 days!

Stay in Las Vegas for a while, English Dave! It's a unanimous opinion around here.

I flew out of Cancun the morning Katrina hit. The resort in Playa del Carmen where we were staying had it's grand opening one weekend, and was destroyed by Katrina the next. Another reason to live life to the fullest every day! You just never know..

I've been noticing 2 lighted objects in the sky, for the past 2 weeks. If you really look at them, you'll see them veer off to the right or left, even do curlicues, and return to the same spot. Anyone know what they are? Drones? Drone testing?

I noticed them, one night, laying on the grass with my ferret, looking up at the sky. I've seen lighted objects continue in a same path, figuring they're late night airline flights, but these objects are not planes or helicopters!

Anyone know what they may be or what they're up to?

I would guess military drones. I haven't seen them myself, however, so it is just conjecture.
