I took my ferret for a walk around City Center and Cosmo last week one night and my ferret was bored with it all, particularly that lonely stretch in front of City Center with those designer-label shops. Some major revisions need to be done there, sooner rather than later.

That stretch cries out for some outdoor restaurants and seating. Push those big name stores back furthur into the complex, and create an outdoor restaurant row. Boring, little or no pedestrian traffic. Where is it? Across the street at all those individualized shops!

City Center defenders say that when Bellagio opened, more and more people took that long walk back to the casino, and the same will happen with City Center, people will take that long walk back to Aria. We shall see!

Anyone care to bet on it?

I am with you on this one! I hate that stretch there. It is very BORING! I also think that when people have been hoofing it all over the Strip, they will skip walking that walk into CC unless that is what they are specifically going for. I would. There is a few cool things in there, but not enough...you said it...boring. Maybe they oughta line up some card snappers and color it up a little!

Glad to hear all is well aqua...I wish I could say the same. My telemarketing job has taken a nose dive and it seems there's no bottom in sight and its likely I will be fired soon.

If that is the case than I will be returning to Orlando at the end of March when my lease is up.

I feel so foolish for moving here. A lot of people told me I wouldn't last out here and they were right. I'm gonna get the "I told you so' party from everyone I know in Orlando but I'm ready to admit defeat and whatever slander and insultd go with it.

Aqualung: I am glad to see the surgery went well and you are almost totally recovered. Hopefully the job ferry will bless you soon.

Davie: One thing I noticed about you is you give up too easily. I am the same way, but it is not a good trait to have. Sales jobs are not steady, so you will have to deal with the ups and downs. You have only been at this job for 2 weeks so give it time.

Give up too easily? When I was Davie's age, I ran off from Minnesota twice, at age 18 and at age 20, to L.A. to start a new life. First time, I gave up after 2 months. Second time, I gave up after 6 weeks. And twice, I had to face: I told you so! If I had had Davie's enviable determination, back then, I'd be living in L.A. to this day!

Finally, at age 43, 17 years ago, I left and haven't looked back!
