Dear Sports Fans,

I would just like to put out a brief PSA and say all you momos out there who want a pro sports team eventually should come out and support the minor league teams we got, starting with our awesome Wranglers team. Its a great time, cheap, exciting, and easy to get in and out of. There's no parking fees and plenty of parking, beers and food are reasonably priced. All the kids love it. We've had two game 7's so far which were a blast to watch and it looks like we may have another elimination game coming up this Thursday.

I know it's a weekday and you've really got to watch that rerun of Bland Comedy Half Hour, but get a TiVo and off your bottom and come to the darn game. They're generally over by 10pm. If not, then it's OT and congrats, you've won yourself the excitement of playoff hockey sudden death!

All you Club Coast members should have gotten an email for two free tickets for Tuesday and Thursday. It's freaking free, folks. Come watch, please. I WILL BUY YOU A BEER IF YOU COME FIND ME! I'll be the really loud idiot in section 110, row C.

Edit:I'd like to point out that some out of towners, those looking to move here, and those newly transplanted would probably like info about the sports scene here. While it may feel like a chat topic to some, I think it wouldn't have wrecked the tone of the LV forums by leaving it there.

At most World Series Of Poker tournaments, there is no charge for admission and you can roam around and spot celebrities. Now generally, if the players are not playing, they are receptive to saying hello and stopping for a picture. All of that, I know to be true.

Now, also true is that on July 2nd. at 2:00 in the Amazon room at the Rio they will hold the AnteUp for Africa $5,000 no limit texas holdem event. All money goes to charity. Since its a celebrity event there is no predicting who might be there. In the past, the likes of Matt Damon and Ray Ramano have played. I thought this might be of interest to anyone, much less poker players.

Annie Duke is the co-chair of the event along with Don Cheadles. Yes, that Annie Duke. Now, if ya go, I have white hair and I'll be wearing my comfortable Crocs. Hope this helps someone and offends no one, like Joan Rivers.
