Blue Diamond Road. Been there for many years so they must be OK: Las Vegas Gun Range

The standy for this is the gun store which I think runs the standard concealed weapon course twice a week. It is on east Trop. The place where the tourist go to try the machine gun.

What type of training are you looking for? There are definitely multiple options out there for you. If you are just looking for the standard conceal carry class there are quite a few options. However, from what I hear many of them only give you enough instruction to pass the test and it's not very comprehensive. There is a poster over on the firearms forum that I frequent that runs a training course, everything from CCW to advanced/tactical to law enforcement/military training to youth training. I believe he conducts his training courses at Desert Sportsman's Rifle and Pistol Club on W. Charleston, but I'm not positive.

I'd avoid The Gun Store for most things. I took my girl and her two boys there for their free basic safety class, and that was worthwhile, but my overall opinion of them is that they're too busy to be bothered with serious shooters and put the tourists at the top of their priority list. I can't say I blame 'em, as those machine gun rentals are "like printing money" (a quote from an employee during one of my visits), and they are in business to make money...

IMHO, the best gun store and indoor range in town is Discount Firearms, on Highland, south of Sahara. It's a fairly large store, well staffed with knowledgeable people and the customer service is great. That's also where I took my CCW class. IIRC, they have other courses, too, but I don't remember the specifics.

As someone who comes into town to go shooting when it gets too hot out here in Pahrump.. I can tell you that Discount is one of the places I like to go.

Forget the gun store.. too many tourists with full auto and no clue.

The store on Blue diamond in CRAZY expensive.. so that place is out as well.
