I could be wrong but wasn't Hammerheads the little club across the street on the south side of Sunrise right next to the overpass? Leslie West and Mountain used to play there a lot. Maybe I have the name wrong.
It was spelled Chevy's. Officially Chevy's Bel Air Cafe. It wasn't where Bob's was. Chevy's was a standalone separate building in the parking lot. I went there alot with my friends. I think just about every weekend. I was there when my friend the bouncer, Harry was murdered. I had to talk to detectives until 7 am in the back of their vehicle for an eyewitness account and interview. I had to identify the 2 suspects. It was horrible. The ambulance took 47 mins to arrive. Meanwhile, Good Sam hospital is only 5-8 minutes away. I heard on the police radio while I was sitting there, that he died in the ambulance. I'll never forget that.
