Hi! My fiance and I are just about to purchase a home off of Brooksite drive in Smithtown. the homes over there have sewer drains put into their driveway. taht sturck me as odd. the homeowner said its just a precaution. so my question for you guys... does anyone feel this might be weird? have you heard of flooding or high water tables in this area of smithtown?
I don't think that area has a water problem. A drywell is for drainage. Are you at the bottom of a hill? If it is an exceptionally large driveway, it may require a drywell by code. If the water table was high, all the well would do is fill up with ground water.
its not the bottom of a hill and doesnt have a large driveway. It is also not a code.
