Have you tried using a polish on it? Home Depot sells kits for granite countertop maintenance that includes a polish that gets buffed into the granite, kind of like compound that you'd use on a car. Having someone come in to refinish could be a pricey proposition, you may want to try the inexpensive route first.
Your problem is hard to fix on a forum. I will try to impart my knowledge over 14 years with Granite though. First, all Granite is different to some degree, mainly in the type of stone it is made off. Some stone simply polishes out better than others. So some tops are more shinny than others. But the most common cause of dull Granite tops is build-up. Alot of times that build up is sealer. When you seal your Granite tops every few years you should strip the old sealer off then reseal the top. Most either don't do that or don't know to do that. So in that case striping the Granite would bring back the shine. It could also be calcium residue from hard water. Hard water is very common in this area. You could also get a stone enhancer. Aqua Mix makes a very good one. A quart will run you about $45 but it will last for a very long time. You would get a few years out of one quart. An easier way to see if the enhancer would work is to get white oil or mineral oil (same thing) and put it on your tops. It won't last as long but it would be a cheaper way to see if it helped then if you liked the look you could go buy the enhancer.
