What do you think are the most bloated towns on LI?

Since the boom, many towns have run up to levels that they simply cant support.

Generally they will neighbor a similar community and offer very little competitively other than a false sense of exclusivity.

Out by me its towns like Setauket, Mt Sinai ,Miller Place,Shoreham etc?
(all of these have SDs can be bought or surpassed for much less money)

What do guys think?

Where will your dollar buy the least on LI?

Why?

How bad has it ballooned GC?

Did you shop there too?

I thought maybe they were tapering off $ wise due to the major Queens influx.

Default Worst Bang For Your Buck

Hello, I just had to answer this question. Your worst bang for your buck is just about any area with NEW CONSTRUCTION. A new home out here in East Moriches or Manorville approximately 2500 square feet will easily cost you OVER $1000. per month in property taxes. Thats a minimum of $12,000. per year just in property taxes.

I haven't looked in a while, but the money for what you go compared to almost all over LI was much poorer. Little crap houses with a train line in the backyard were crazy. Granted, there are some very nice areas in GN and Manhasset, but the not so great areas were still pricey. North Shore + Short Commute not into Jamaica = $$$$$$$$$$.
