Stony Brook has got a good looking baseball team.

I've watched them beat Louisiana State this weekend in 2 out 3 games. LSU has always had the strongest baseball program in college baseball.

I never even heard of Stony Brook until this weekend.

Go Seawolves!!!

Good luck in Omaha!

Just watched it. They beat the the LSU pitcher that was the first pitcher taken in the draft at #4. I think they have a few Long Island kids. I think the catcher is from West Islip.

What a great sports story this is... Watching them beat LSU the announcers pointed out that SB had a SEASON attendance of about 5,800 and LSU has upwards of 11,000 at every GAME.

Omaha is famous for their tradition of adopting the underdog and always being EXTRA crazy for first time attendees of the CWS. So Stony Brook will have some odd 20k rabid screaming "fans".

What a great experience ahead for these kids. Great job Seawolves!

Congrats to the Seawolves! Just wanted to point out that two of the players are graduates of MacArthur High School, pretty cool.

go underdogs... though with so many good drafted players they may not be so much an underdog... but always good to see a no-name team appear.

Remember that Stony Brook had 7 players drafted in the MLB draft compared to LSU’s 5, and the SeaWolves bested the #4 player drafted yesterday in Tiger’s Ace pitcher Kevin Gausman.
