We are having some tile, wood paneling and other 70's stuff taken off a house we just bought. Does anyone know a good place to get a dumpster and how much should it cost? Thanks
We had the same thing- old carpet and paneling that we tore out when we moved. We got a small roll away. It was a few hundred dollars. It was a couple of years ago so I don't remember where we got it from
DF Allen, many others. Usually a few hundred bucks. Never heard of pricing dependent on distance. Price usually dependent on size of the bin and length of time you need it. Also, a small permit fee if it needs to go on the street. No fee if it goes in the driveway (fee is to the town, at least in town of hempstead, but is collected by the dumpster co.). DOn't know about other towns.
You could also look into Bagster, which is a kind of bag dumpster you buy yourself at Home Depot, Amazon.com, maybe Lowes. Set it up yourself, and then have an affiliated company pick it up. Bagster® Just check to see if they take what you are throwing away. I've never actually used this, but looked into it at one point (ended up just using ToH special pickup instead).
Get 1 size larger then you think you need. When we got a dumpster for a bunch of outside garbage clearing we were finding all sorts of junk around the house to throw out. Nice to have the extra room.
Thanks-we got a 15 yard-3 tons-for $385 plus tax-We got it from Dumpster r Us-thanks everyone for your replies
