100-110 mph is natural cruising speed for me. Anything under is so boring I come close to falling asleep at the wheel and drift out of my lane!

How do you call yourself a SafeSpeeder when doing 80+ just because you're comfortable with it has zero to do with safety? Earlier you said there's no magic to doing 90mph - this is absolutely true. Anyone who's not nervous behind the wheel can do that. Why do you ignore the safety components with regard to stopping distances, speed differential, and random other drivers' actions when you're up at 80+? Yes, on OUR congested roads - especially Nassau. No, not congested all the time (like I said about exit 40 earlier), but if they set a higher speed limit, that would apply all the time. You would be agitated trying to navigate through traffic because you'd feel you have a right to 75 because it says 75. Look how worked up you are about others' perceived inability just talking about it. If not you, then other cocky SOBs on the road for sure. Bottom line, do what you do but don't be surprised when you get pulled over for going well above the flow of traffic. I'm perfectly content ignoring the limits and just reading traffic conditions. I've learned my lessons that that's the way to go. Even cops tell you you're allowed to go above the limit for passing in the passing lane as long as you're not stupid about it. They're human, not robots, and don't necessarily make the rest of us adhere to the stated limit either. You can argue all you want about a cop pulling a guy over for doing 1 over. What about all the times they don't pull people over for doing 10 over?

When the speed limit is 55, many do 70-75. When the speed limit is 65, you can't do more than 70-75. The enforcement tolerance is less on a 65 mph road than a 55 mph road, just saying.

Truth.
Don't know why but it is.
