We had our camper parked in our small driveway. But it was agaisnt the fence and not in anyones way. Then we put it seasonally at a campsite and it is wonderful.

In our development some people have campers but they are parked out of the way or behind a fence.

We love camping

There was another thread about this pretty recently. I don't care what anyone has in their driveway - boats, campers, RVs, rusty non-moving vehicles...not my house, not my problem. Even the white trash practice of leaving non-moving vehicles on the front lawn doesn't bother me. Far too petty of an issue for me to worry about.

I love camping, too!

I was an avid tent/primitive camper who married a guy who preferred camping in a trailer. After a few trips in a tent (listening to the Prince and the Pea complain) I gave in and we bought a huge trailer. I hated it, despite it having every bell and whistle.

We gave it up and sold the trailer, opting to buy a small vacation home in New England instead.

I miss camping, still have my tents...just in case

Wow, I'm surprised how many of the forum appreciate camping. I also go camping a lot, we went over 10 times last year from Wildwood right here in Long Island to Lake George, Old Mills in PA, Odetah in CT yada yada yada, all over the place. My wife and kids love it. It's really a great way to spend time away from it all and a great way to spend quality time with the family.

The reason I posted was because last year I bought a 26ft Forest River Salem travel trailer. All my neighbors were ok with it (some are campers) but one neighbor took it upon herself to call the town repeatedly. It is legal once it's registered so the town came in and checked it out and said all was ok. My driveway is large, has space for about 20 cars and it is at the end of the driveway away from the street but I guess it still bothers her. She's in her late 60's or early 70's and now going around the neighborhood trying to get a petition signed.

The question was " RV's, Campers. Boats, Trailers, etc in driveway - OK or not?"

That is because people dont follow rules and police pick and choose which they want to get involved with.

Seems everyone has forgotten you dont ever BACK into traffic.

That means you back into the driveway, back into the parking spot, not pull in
