Great place, open air seating, hole-in-the-wall with great seafood.
Hate to flatly contradict someone but it is 10 feet from busy 25A and the food - especially the seafood - is not very good at all. I have literally seen people return the overpriced lobster roll. We do go there 2-3 times a year because the beer is cold, the hamburgers are edible, and when it is empty the parking is easy.

They opened a branch in downtown Huntington last year that completely bombed. It is closed now.

(15 years ago in the 'clams and chaos' glory days of the shack I would give it a different review)

I must agree. The Shack is disgusting. First of all, no parking. If you do get to sit, you have to worry about 25a traffic crashing into you. The food is awful! Awful. It's really a place to grab beer. I think the burgers are overpriced, undercooked, Bubba burgers that taste of fish from being fried on same grill as the other junk.

I haven't been there in about 2 or 3 years. Sad to hear that it has gone downhill

The Clam Bar, in Amagansett. The Clam Bar

The Lobster Roll, also in Amagansett, is good too, but it's a little more than a typical "shack". Kind of like a seafood shack combined with a diner.http://www.lobsterroll.com

Cyril's Fish House, again, in Amagansett, is a seafood shack with a Caribbean theme. They make great drinks and are packed during happy hour. Cyril's

I like The Dock House in Sag Harbor too. Dockhouse Home
