Awesome kid!!! Have you checked the IP? Still think I "make up my lifestyle"? I haven't lied about one thing on here and yes this is my second screen name ( only because I forgot my password). I think you need to relocate once again so perhaps you can upgrade your QoL. Idaho? One of the Dakotas? I feel bad for you guys. YOLO!!!!!!

Trying too hard to prove something always raises my suspicion... that may be the native downstate NYer in me. IP spoofing is kid Moderator cut: language removed these days... and even at that, does an IP really prove a lifestyle? Either way, it doesn't really matter what anyone on this anonymous board thinks... facts, mirage, or half truths - it's all the same crap. But, we do satisfy some of our narcissism by being internet tough guys. So we got that going for us. You can rub it in our faces how great you have it if that makes you feel better.

Enjoy the Baltics or wherever it was you said you spend the Summer... Hopefully those broken countries over there don't devolve much further before you leave - and definitely hope you don't need cash from an ATM weeks from now. So no need to feel bad, it's all good. We wish we were you - or you have the biggest epeen ever... or whatever will make you feel better about yourself. You're clearly taller and better looking than all of us... getting all our chicks. Honestly, though... somehow I get the feeling you're 5'5" and drive a red sportscar.

Bingo! You know what they say about those who have to brag on the web to 'prove' things. And you know what's worse? If he is telling the truth how pathetic and sad is it that he's wasting his time trying to show a bunch of anonymous people on the internet how awesome he is while he is supposedly on vacation abroad. Oh and it's not very difficult to use a fake ip with a proxy. Dosent prove a thing. Nice try long isle. Have fun in Latvia or wherever you say are (or your moms basement).

Back on topic - this is the sort of thing you want to avoid for the rest of your life, and your kids' lives...

On a related note, are there any ex-pats who were able to assimilate into a really strong group of new friends?

If you need to reach out on an anonymous forum for parenting advice, that tells me all I need to know about that person.

In case you're serious with the last question (not entirely sure), I wonder who hasn't assimilated into a strong group of friends when you surround yourself with other families raising kids of similar socioeconomic status. You're all essentially in the same boat together. The suburban LI lifestyle was pretty much founded on this principle.

People move - all the time... for many reasons. It's a fact of life. How does the first generation moving anywhere "avoid for the rest of your life"? Are you saying that the chicks should never leave the nest... ever?
