Probably not, but you may want to check the with Town of Hempstead Building Department.
For those who may not be familiar with Hewlett:
Hewlett is a hamlet (an unincorporated area) in the southwest part of the Town of Hempstead, in the southwest part of Nassau County.
The Hamlet of Hewlett is one of the upscale "5 Towns" (none of which are towns) that includes the Village of Lawrence (incorporated in 1987), the Village of Cedarhurst (incorporated in 1910) and the Hamlet of Inwood and the Hamlet of Woodmere.
Beginning on its northern border and proceeding clockwise, the Hamlet of Hewlett is bordered on the north by the Village of Valley Stream and the Village of Lynbrook; on the east by the Village of Lynbrook and the Village of East Rockaway; on the south by the Village of Hewlett Harbor and the Village of Hewlett Bay Park and the Hamlet of Woodmere; and, on the west by the Hamlet of Woodmere and the Village of Valley Stream.

Hewlett is one of those many villages and hamlets were the majority of the places with the community name in their mailing address are not in the hamlet.
For a good set of town-by-town maps showing all the villages and hamlets in each of LI's 13 towns (3 in Nassau County and 10 in Suffolk County):
