Recently found one running around the basement in the wash room, and turns out, there was a family of 5 down there that somehow got in the house. Don't know actually how they did, as I did not see any cracks in the foundation and where the basement windows are around the house we have metal grates in front of the windows, so i actually have no idea how they got in.
Needless to say, a combination of the glue traps and Tomcat mouse killer with the block of poison in it worked very well. Killed all of them in 3 days.
Just know that if you see one, there is usually more running around.
Well, today is Global-Kitteh-Day, so I vote for getting one.............soft, furry, emitting
a pleasantly-musty odor, insanely addicted to capturing and neutralizing small rodents!
Fastrac mouse poison. They eat it like candy and bring it back to the nest for the others to eat. All dead in a day or two
I would recommend that this bait is put in bait boxes, and not just left out by themselves. That way no other wildlife will be harmed by eating them. But it is a great bait to use.
I would let them loose a few blocks away. I hated the people in that neighborhood.
Rarely had mouse problems in that house but the few times I did I caught them with live traps and released them.
If you are going to live trap they need to be released at least 1-2 miles away or they will come right back.
When I was a kid, we had a few cats(and dogs).
I remember sitting at the kitchen table and a mouse ran from behind the fridge to this small space between the wall and the cabinet filler panel on the other side. This mouse did this like 2 or 3 times back and forth, it was probably a four foot span.
Anyway, cat was laying on the kitchen floor and just sat there and watched the mouse run back and forth. Did nothing. Just watched.

True I sound have mentioned this. What makes it so effective is it’s a neurotoxin so it’s NOT safe for pets. Most (pretty ineffective) mouse poison at stores is just vitamin k blockers which is much safer for pets

There was a cricket in my living room the other day and the cat just watched it hop around. She wasn't even interested enough to screw with it for a while.
