Hello All,
We recently found out we have mouses running in the yard and left behind dropping around. If we caught them live, where can we release them?
In a neighborhood where there are people you don’t like. Seriously they are cute as pets but not in your backyard. My neighborhood started getting mice when people started building McMansions and the construction sites presumably attracted mice. God forbid they find a way into your home.
Recently found one running around the basement in the wash room, and turns out, there was a family of 5 down there that somehow got in the house. Don't know actually how they did, as I did not see any cracks in the foundation and where the basement windows are around the house we have metal grates in front of the windows, so i actually have no idea how they got in.
Needless to say, a combination of the glue traps and Tomcat mouse killer with the block of poison in it worked very well. Killed all of them in 3 days.
Just know that if you see one, there is usually more running around.
I would let them loose a few blocks away. I hated the people in that neighborhood.
Rarely had mouse problems in that house but the few times I did I caught them with live traps and released them.
Mice in house = problem.
Mice outdoors = normal. Where else are they supposed to be? You can do certain things immediately around your home so they don't live/frequent/nest right near your home. But if they're just out in the yard, what is the issue?
Wild mice are not easy to catch live. Leave them be.
